Cucina e Tavola – Food Festival in Winterthur

Cucina e Tavola – Food Festival in Winterthur

The Spring food festivals across Switzerland are starting to take place! After a winter break, there are lots of great items coming up on the agenda. I will have the full festival calendar up at the end of the week.

This weekend (17-19 March) the Cucina e Tavola festival in Winterthur takes place.

If you haven’t been to Winterthur, it is a lovely town with a wonderful car-free old town (Altstadt). There are tons of museums, cafés, stores, parks, and tons more. The Reithalle is very easy to walk to from the Hauptbahnhof or from the parking garages nearby.

The Cucina e Tavola festival promises food stalls, food products, beers, spices, vitamins, and much much more. It looks to be a great event!

The entrance fee is 12chf for adults and kids under 12 enter for free.

Hope to see you there!

  1. Ive never been to a food festival in Swiss! Is there a lot of tasting for free?😂 A good way to discover new things! Hope we will get to one this year.

  2. As Dawan, I’ve never been to a food festival but your post makes me want to go to this one!

  3. This looks fun! What kind of food do you think they will have?

    • Hey Kate – there’s a list of the exhibitors on the website, lots of local producers and ethnic foods on offer! If you head to Winti I would try to take in some of the sites, like Sarah mentioned in her blog post. Lots of gorgeous museums and nice places to visit in Winti!

  4. I´ve never been to any food festival (only to the beer festival back in the Czech Republic :)), but there should be also one in Bern and one in Biel soon (closer than Wintherthur ;)), so I maybe give them a try 😉

  5. I’m sorry to miss this festival but I did go to the street food festival at the Zurich HB this weekend and ate so many delicious things! I’ll definitely be checking back here for more food festival info.
